At the root of PicoSolutions, we specialize in DFAM and are on a mission to ensure we pass this knowledge on to as many students & teachers as possible
CUSTOM PROGRAMS AVAILABLE ON DEMAND
Students & teachers in grades 3rd-12th grade are the focus of this club.
3rd-8th Grade - Club Fundraising
Our core focus for this grade band will be on a student-drive design & fundraising marketplace.
- All students will be taught over a school-wide webinar and have access to our resource library to practice their Design Skills in the online classroom we provide them
- Students can do this at specific times or on their own time depending on how involved the schools would like to be in the club
- Students are also eligible to participate in the 3 seasons of design competitions if they would like
- All files that are designed in the CAD classroom will be analyzed and the very best ones will go on to our online marketplace for their school to raise any school club funds
- We handle all the printing & logistics
- Every purchase will be fulfilled by us and 25% of the month's sales will be donated to the school's program of their choice controlled by their PTA/PTO or other organization normally in control of fundraising for the school
9th-12th Grade Design Competitions
Our core focus for this grade band will be on Student Design challenges & Competitions
- Fall & Winter seasons design challenges
- Spring/End of Year Product Design Challenge
- Seasons are not mandatory & students can participate as they would like
- Students of this grade band will benefit from special webinars from industry professionals
- The younger grades can listen in or watch these live webinars/recordings but we believe the 9th-12th grade will benefit the most from hearing from the pros
- Students will win monthly prizes for the design challenge
- Schools will receive recognition with awards
- Students who win the product design challenge win prizes & royalties if we bring the product to market
Note: Parents will decide how the students utilize these royalties until they are 18
Teachers - Makerspace Grants
As a teacher in a PicoSTEM School, District, or one that only involves their classroom, they are eligible to apply to our annual PicoSTEM grants which are only available to schools/teachers enrolled in the program directly through us or one of our vetted partners. We are starting with $10,000 in grants for year one and will grow this as the club grows to ensure we support as many educators and their students as possible.
